Angel
Joseph Bob Paige is a perceptual painter. His subject matter is still-life, interiors, and portraits. His most recent painting, titled Angel, represents elements of inspiration for the artist.

In the center, an angel/muse is studying a book of wisdom. Surrounding the angel are images of art, music and nature. The angel, the books, and the flower on the table in the left-hand side of the painting, create a world within the larger space of the room. Through the window in the far right upper corner of the painting we see a hint of the macrocosm, the world unaware.

Intimately connected to his subject, Joseph creates a complex, rhythmic design of interrelated forms and spaces in natural light.
